Our Veterinary Hospital in Huntingdon Valley is looking for a special person to join our team.

The successful candidate must be committed to delivering high quality, client service with a calm, compassionate demeanor. The job requires that multiple phone lines be answered quickly and politely while simultaneously providing efficient, friendly, customer service to clients being seen in the hospital. Excellent communication skills are necessary in order to ensure that the necessary information is correctly relayed between the client, veterinarian, technician or other staff member. The ability to follow through and complete tasks assigned is critical to the smooth running of the hospital as is a willingness to learn new skills and educate clients on pet care & services.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least one year of proven past experience helping customers.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Invoicing services & products on the computer and processing payments.
  • Educating clients on general pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

Experienced Veterinary Technician wanted for a busy Huntingdon Valley. PA animal hospital. Must have excellent technical skills as well as good communication and inter-personal skills. We are looking for a team player open to new ideas, willing to learn and able to do what it takes to get the job done.

Saturday and/or Sunday shifts mandatory

Must have 2-3 years TECH experience


  • Able to draw blood from jugular, cephalic and saphenous veins
  • Able to place IV catheter in cephalic and saphenous veins
  • Capable of taking high quality lateral and VD radiographs of abdomen, chest, pelvis and extremities
  • Accurate record keeping of medical records, lab and radiograph logs
  • Able to set up and read fecal, urine sediment and ear cytology slides.
  • Knowledge of preventative care including: canine & feline vaccinations, neutering benefits and dental care; able to intelligently discuss these topics with pet owners.

Knowledge of Impromed Infinity software a plus
CVT preferred
experience monitoring anesthesia a plus
